We believe our teachers and staff
are the best around because of
the calling the Lord has placed on our hearts to serve here. We love our Savior Jesus Christ, the students and their families, and our great community! We have a desire to see children grow in knowledge!
Thank you for the wonderful privilege to teach your children!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." Jeremiah 29:11
My name is Rebecca Wood (aka "Ms. Becky") and I am the Director of FBCM Preschool Center. My husband Luke and I have three children and live in Cary. Luke and I have been married 28 years. It is a blessing to be a part of the First Baptist Church of Morrisville church family! For 15 years I worked as an Administrative Assistant in various law firms. After having our children, my husband and I took a step of faith and I quit my job to stay at home with our children. To help supplement our income, I kept children in our home and later took a Preschool lead teaching position at our former church in Clayton, NC. I accepted a position as a Teacher Assistant with the Wake County Public School System after moving to Cary, working with students kindergarten through 4th grade. I have a LOVE for music, play flute and sing with the church choir and praise band. In 2013, I answered God's call on my life to start a Christian-based preschool here at First Baptist Morrisville. We started out with 7 students our first month open and the program is currently full with 68 students in attendance. At FBCM Preschool, the children know that they are loved; it is a joy to watch them learn and become secure and self-confident. When our students leave us and venture to kindergarten, it is my hope that they know how much Jesus loves them, that they develop a love for Him, for self, for new-found friends, and for all of God’s creation.

here are many verses in the Bible that mean so much to me. One is Micah 6:8: “What does Jehovah require of thee, to do justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
I am originally from Greenville, NC. I moved to Cary 9 years ago. I am a Mother and Grandmother. I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 40 years, and God blessed me in many areas of nursing. I was informed of this position last August by my grand-daughters teacher, and it was a God answered prayer. In nursing, I had been working 85 plus hours and driving 700 miles every week. I could not do it anymore. I raised my grandson who is now in college, and my grand-daughter who lives with me and is currently in the 3rd grade. I have volunteered at their schools, and still volunteer in my grand-daughters class. I am truly blessed to be working at FBCM Preschool with such wonderful women and children. |

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 My name is Valerie. I am originally from the mountains of rural WV, and I moved down to the Research Triangle Area approximately 4 years ago after spending 19 years in central Virginia. I have been married to my college sweetheart, David, for over 24 years and we have two amazing children, Melody (14) and Mitchell (11). I have been involved in children’s ministry at church for over 18 years in choir, AWANA, VBS, Missions, and now Wee Worship. I was a preschool T.A. for 5 years in Virginia and I am so happy to get to continue doing a job that I love here in North Carolina. God is good and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to know and help teach your children! |
