what is your potty training policy?

We meet each child where they are in their development. In our toddler and two-year-old classes, children may be at different stages — some are potty trained, some are in the process, and some still use diapers or pull-ups. In our three- and four-year-old classes, we typically expect children to be mostly potty trained. Our teachers provide guidance and assistance in the bathroom as needed, always encouraging independence and confidence.

what should my child bring?

Please send your child with a backpack with a snack, a water bottle, and a change of clothes in case of accidents. For children who are still in diapers or pull-ups, please also send extra diapers/pull-ups and wipes. Labeling all items with your child’s name helps us keep everything organized.

do you provide snacks?

No, parents provide snacks for their child each day. Occasionally, we may provide special snacks for holidays or classroom celebrations, but daily snacks should come from home.

what if my child cries at drop off?

Our teachers are experts at comforting children who are having a hard time at drop-off. This may include hugs, gentle distractions, or allowing your child a few moments to settle in a safe and caring environment. The best thing parents can do is keep drop-off quick and positive. While it’s natural to feel sad leaving your child, a brief goodbye allows our teachers to help your child adjust more quickly. We are happy to provide updates as requested so you can feel confident your child is being cared for.

how do you handle discipline?

Redirection is a key part of our approach to discipline. When a child is struggling with behavior, teachers may guide them to make a different choice, offer alternative activities, or provide gentle reminders about expectations. Each classroom has a cozy corner with soft items and fidgets where children can take a short break if they are experiencing big emotions, helping them calm down and regain control.

If challenging behavior continues, teachers work to understand the underlying cause and use a variety of strategies to address it, always focusing on teaching children positive ways to manage feelings and interact with others. In rare cases where a child’s safety or the safety of others is a concern, they may be removed from the classroom and a parent contacted.

Our goal is to partner with each child and their family to support learning, self-regulation, and social-emotional growth, helping every child feel safe, respected, and successful at school.

what If I need to withdraw my Child?

If a family chooses to withdraw their child from the program, the following policies apply:

  • Withdrawals before July 5 will result in forfeiture of the $150 registration fee only.
  • Withdrawals between July 5 and September 5 will result in forfeiture of the July tuition payment and registration fee.
  • Withdrawals after September 5 require a 30-day written notice. If less than 30 days’ notice is given, tuition will be prorated for the number of days not provided.
  • Beginning March 1, the required written withdrawal notice increases to 60 days.

Families planning extended travel may choose to continue making tuition payments while away and we will hold your child’s seat. If tuition payments are not maintained during extended travel, the withdrawal policy above will apply, and your child’s seat cannot be held.
